Bond yields adjusted for an inflation measure or expectation.

Why it matters: They help compare interest-bearing assets with non-yielding Gold.

Example: Rising inflation-adjusted bond yields may pressure Gold.

Limitation: Different inflation measures produce different real-yield readings.
